In over forty years of presenting the concepts and understanding which have come forward from times past within Kabalistic teachings and bringing the archetypal glyph of the Tree of Life into an application of life of today, there are those few who have been deeply inspired to carry forward and expand upon the understanding of life. Dr. Michael Kosoy is one of such individuals and it has been an honor to have been a part of his journey. He has taken and expanded it into the essence of what we call life, itself. His book has brought the intangible aspect of life and its principles, into the form of the science of life, biology, two polarities of one thing which when combined can shed a whole new light on the existence of everything. He has joined esoteric science and exoteric science into a beautiful whole, that can more clearly define our world as well as provide the opportunity for even greater understanding to come forth. I look forward to what this book can inspire within others as it becomes the core from which future awareness and understanding can be evolved. What a great contribution this book is to the understanding of the life that comprises our world.

Dr. Kosoy's knowledge of biology at all levels, from the organism to the species, is exceeded only by his ability to communicate it to the reader. What was new to me was how Dr. Kosoy demonstrated that the Kabbalah integrated the vastly different parts of biology (those who study species vs those who study cellular components) into a multi-level but unified system. This book will handsomely reward the reader, the first-time s/he reads it, and every subsequent time s/he reads it.

For the last 20 some years teaching mysticism of Kabalah, I always thought if scientist could also recognize our biological formation as part of the Tree of Life moving not in lateral form but more so in a quantum level just as it is explained in Kabalah. Michael from his scientist background and his training in the mystical traditions has made this marriage happen.

Dr. Kosoy has gifted us with a panoramic view of biology and epistemology as glimpsed through the lens of the Kabbalah. This tour-de-force provides a groundbreaking approach to novel inquiry at the interface of science and the Jewish mystical tradition.

Michael has dared to weave the ancient Hebrew wisdom of the Kabbalah into biology. This has created a beautiful tapestry, contributing another angle to understanding, and connecting Kabbalistic ideas to modern biology.

It is no small thing to bridge ancient wisdom and modern science, but that is what this fine new book does. Michael Kosoy demonstrates that the Torah and science are complementary, and can guide our scientific work while stimulating our spiritual and metaphysical understanding.

I know firsthand how complex and unpredictable epidemics can be. This book offers a fresh, comprehensive perspective on our role when exploring the “hidden” world of epidemics.
